Eleven Letters Article

A brave soldier in her own right, Debby Brudno lost the long fought battle with cancer, but won the war against a sudden and painful separation from Alan.  She has been an integral part of our ceremonies for the past several years, and her undaunted spirit was something that buoyed all of us.  We will miss her on many levels, and her passing is a personal loss for each of us in our own way.

Debby Brudno passed away at 1:26 pm today.

She will be buried at the Montefiores Cemetery in New York with a graveside ceremony on a date to be determined.  Debby’s sister, Judy Gitenstein, is making the arrangements.

She has finally found the peace that has eluded her since 1965.
